Anderson was credited as Bobbie Anderson in this film. American actor Anderson (1933-2008), born Robert James Anderson, is probably best known for his role as young George Bailey (the role played by Jimmy Stewart in adulthood) in the Christmas movie It's a Wonderful Life (1946). Anderson's acting career stretched between 1940, when he debuted in the Shirley Temple movie Young People in an uncredited role, and 1956, when he appeared in the TV series The Further Adventures of Spin and Marty. He later stepped behind the camera to become an assistant director, producer and production manager. His producing and directing credits include TV's The Time Tunnel (1966-1967), Police Story (1973-1976), Columbo (1976) and Blue Bayou (1990) and the movies The Heart is a Lonely Hunter (assistant director, 1968), The Bonfire of the Vanities (1990), Passenger 57 (1992) and Demolition Man (1993).
