Richard Nixon.

Washington, D.C., March 29, 1972. To Robert Orth of Sublette, Kansas In full: "In
accordance with your request of February 27, I am pleased to forward the personally autographed
photograph of President Nixon, which has just been received from the White House [item not
included]. Am please we were able to obtain this for you so quickly, and trust you will let me
know if we can be of further assistance," Robert Joseph "Bob" Dole (1923-2021) was a
Republican U.S. Representative from Kansas from 1961-1969 and U.S. Senator from
1969-1996. He was candidate for Vice President in 1976, a Presidential candidate in 1988 and
the Republican Presidential nominee in 1996. A decorated veteran of WWII, in 2007, Dole
was appointed co-chair of a committee to investigate problems at the Walter Reed Army
Medical Center. His wife, Elizabeth Hanford Dole, was elected U.S. Senator from North
Carolina in 2002. Fine condition.
