Huber (1922-2001) was a Michigan politician affiliated with the Republican Party. From 1935 to 1937, he attended the University of Detroit. Then, in 1939, he graduated from Culver Military Academy in Culver, Indiana. He completed his formal education at Yale, graduating with a BS in 1943. From 1943 to 1946, he served in the U.S. Army. Subsequently, he established himself as a successful banker and businessman. Huber eventually became involved in politics, and was elected mayor of Troy, Michigan, serving from 1959 to 1964. While he was serving as mayor, Huber was one of the supervisors of suburban Oakland County. From 1965 to 1970, he was a member of the Michigan Senate. Huber was elected a Member of Congress representing Michigan's 18th congressional district, and serving only a single term, from 1973 to 1975. Although he ran again for congress and for a seat in the U.S. Senate, he never again held public office. Lightly toned. Corners and edges gently worn. Otherwise, fine condition.
