ROBERT L. HANBIDGE. TLS: "R.L. Hanbidge" as Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan, 1p, 8x11. Regina, Saskatchewan, 1969 August 21. On imprinted letterhead of Lieutenant Governor's Office, Hotel Saskatchewan to Master Danny Franklin, Sunnyslope, Arizona. In full: "I want to thank you for your letter of the 11th instant and regret the delay in replying. I take it that you are a student in school and that you have been making yourself acquainted with Canada and particularly the Province of Saskatchewan. I note that you have obtained some information with regard to our population and the size of the province. Enclosed you will find an autographed picture of myself and also a biographical sketch. You have asked for the names and addresses of former Lieutenant Governors who are still living. The only ones that I know of who are still living, are the Honourable W.J. Patterson, of Regina, Saskatchewan, and the Honourable Frank L. Bastedo, who now resides in Victoria, British Columbia. May I thank you for your most interesting letter and your good wishes. Yours sincerely". Enclosures not present. Robert Leith "Dinny" Hanbidge (1891-1974) was the Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan from 1963-1970.
