The actor signs a letter to John Willis, Editor of Theatre World, asking to be included in the next edition of the publication
Autograph letter signed: "Robert P. Vega", in black ink, 1 page, 5x7¼. October 10, 1979. New York City, New York. In full: "Dear Sirs- Please include me in the next edition of John Willis' Theatre Worldb. I spent 2 years with the Broadway production of "The King and I". Enclosed is my picture and resume [item not included]. Thank you". Robert Vega (1946-1988) was an actor of film and stage. He appeared in the 1977 Broadway production of The King and I, and would appear in a small number of minor roles in television and film, including The Competition (1980), Daddy Dearest (1984), and Nightingales (1988). John A. Willis (1916-2010), active in Theatre World from the beginning, became its chief editor in 1965, holding that position until 2008. Willis is regarded as one of the foremost theatre and film historians of the 20th century. While producing (and presenting) the annual Theatre World Awards, Willis also served on the nominating committee for the Tony Awards. Theatre World, which received its own Tony for Excellence in Theatre in 2001, continues under chief editor Ben Hodges. Small crease on edge. Slightly soiled. Paper clip crease on top left corner. Fine condition.
