ROBERT SHAYNE
He tells a collector he can't afford to send signed photos, since he
is no longer under contract, but fondly remembers living and acting in Quincy,
Massachusetts.
Typed Letter signed: "Robert Shayne", 1 page, 8½x5½. Toluca
Lake, California, 1984 January 17. To Warren Perkins, in full: "I
have received your update letter and request. I gladly sign the cards, but
cannot comply with your request to forward those pictures. I am not under
contract now, and not working in a TV series at the present time, so what you
want is two [expensive] for me. If you want two more pictures, forward
$3.00 and postage of $1.00 and I shall be glad to do as you request. Have a
happy and prosperous New Year, and thank you for thinking of me. I lived in
Quincy once ... in fact I worked in the Cohasset Playhouse for three successive
summers in stock years ago. Quincy is a nice place to live. Sincerely yours".

Penitentiary, he played an engineer who framed his partner for a crime he
committed. Other TV series in which Shayne made multiple appearances were
Navy Log (1955-1957) and Death Valley Days (1959). Fine
condition.
