Photograph signed: "Robert Stack". B/w, 5x7 overall, image 4½x5¾ (one surface). Robert Stack (1919-2003) is best known for his portrayal of Treasury Agent Eliot Ness (in which he is depicted in this photograph), fighting crime in Chicago of the 1930s, in the popular TV series, The Untouchables (1959-1963). Stack's other TV successes included Unsolved Mysteries, which he hosted from 1987 to 2002. His 60 years in feature films included an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for Written on the Wind (1956). Minor surface scratches and soiling (not evident head on). Name written in ink (unknown hand) on verso (no show through). Fine condition.
