Headed: "Theatrical Motion Picture/Artists' Manager Contract/(Agency Contract). The actor employs Contemporary-Korman Artists Ltd. As "his agent in theatrical motion pictures" for a period of one year, commencing on the date the contract was signed. Sterling agrees to pay the Agency a commission of ten percent. Also signed by an Agent of Contemporary-Korman Artists Ltd. Sterling made his last film, A Global Affair, in 1964, ten years before he signed this document. In 1972, he appeared as a guest star on TV's Love, American Style, but Sterling would not act on the small screen until ten years later, guesting on Fantasy Island in 1982. Stage, screen and television actor Robert Sterling, born William Sterling Hart in 1917, who is best known for his role as George Kerby on the TV series Topper (1953-1955), had made his film debut in 1939 and would appear in a number of feature films, including Show Boat (1951). The star of two subsequent TV series, Sterling's numerous guest appearances included Letter to Loretta (1956) and General Electric Theatre (1960). Married to his Topper co-star, Anne Jeffreys, since 1951, Sterling was previously wed (1943-1949) to actress Ann Sothern, with whom he had a daughter, actress Tisha Sterling. Lightly creased. Staple holes at upper left and right corners, 2 file holes at upper blank margins. Fine condition.
