Program signed: "Robert Taylor", 1p, 10½x8¼. Program from the Capitol Theater, New York, announcing Taylor's film, Undercurrent. The film, which opened there on November 28, 1946, was shown in conjunction with a stage show starring Frankie Carle. Vincente Minnelli's 1946 film starred Taylor as Alan Garroway, a slightly mysterious inventor turned businessman. Katharine Hepburn was his wife, the former Ann Hamilton, who delved into the mystery of Alan's brother, Michael (played by relative newcomer Robert Mitchum). The film also marked the film debut of Jayne Meadows. The good looks of Robert Taylor (1911-1969) sometimes caused critics to overlook his acting talents, which he displayed in such films as Camille (1936), Waterloo Bridge (1940), Bataan (1943), Quo Vadis (1951) and The Last Hunt (1956). He starred on TV in Robert Taylor's Detectives (1959-1962) and succeeded friend Ronald Reagan as host of Death Valley Days (1966-1968). He was married to two actresses: Barbara Stanwyck and Ursula Theiss. Shaded at vertical fold. Fine condition.
