ROBERT VAUGHAN He draws a face of a girl with a bow below his signature on this lined index card Original Art Signed: "Robert Vaughn" 5x3. Below his signature, Vaughn has drawn a girl's face in ink. Robert Vaughn (1932-2016) received a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination for his performance in The Young Philadelphians (1959) and was one of the leads in The Magnificent Seven the following year (1960). However, his most famous screen role was that of Napoleon Solo in the TV spy series The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (1964-1968). In subsequent years, Vaughn was often cast as a bad guy in films such as Bullitt (1968), Brass Target (1978), and Superman III (1982). Vaughn holds a Ph.D. in Communications from USC, having written his dissertation on blacklisting in Hollywood. His work was published in 1972: Only Victims: A Study of Showbusiness Blacklisting.
