5¾x8¾, on Anderson's personalized stationery. Dec. 18, 1985. In full:
"Dear Don Glossinger - One year late - Best wishes." Playwright and
screenwriter Anderson (1917-2009, born in New York City) opened his first
Broadway play Tea and Sympathy in 1953. He received Best
Screenwriter Oscar nominations for The Nun's Story (1959) and I Never
Sang for My Father (1970), and he also wrote the screenplay for The
Sand Pebbles (1966). His second marriage was to actress Teresa Wright, and
he was linked romantically to both Ingrid Bergman and Audrey Hepburn. Lightly
toned and creased. Folded twice and unfolded. Otherwise in fine
condition.
