ROBERT YOUNG
The actor signs with best wishes below a letter from a special education teacher.
Autograph sentiment signed: "With Best Wishes,/Robert Young", 1 page, 8½x11. Signed in lower margin of a handwritten letter from a special education instructor in Clute, Texas, requesting his autograph for a class section on "the Movies", originally dated June 23, 1973. Perhaps best known as Jim Anderson on Father Knows Best (television, 1954-1960; radio 1949-1954) and the title practitioner on television's Marcus Welby, M.D. (1969-1976), Robert Young (1907-1998)also appeared in over 100 films. In some screen roles, such as the cold-blooded spy in Hitchcock's Secret Agent (1936) and the no-good philanderer in They Won't Believe Me (1947), Young showed an acting range far wider than his likeable and wholesome TV characters. Normal mailing folds. Lightly creased. Otherwise, fine condition.
