Price: $100.00
ROBERT YOUNG
Signature from the actor inscribed to a fan
Inscribed signature: "To Jim/Robert Young", 5x3 index card
attached at lower right 1x1 newspaper photograph. In 1932, Young appeared in
five feature films, The Wet Parade, New Morals for Old,
Unashamed, The Kid from Spain and Strange Interlude.
Perhaps best known as Jim Anderson on Father Knows Best (radio
1949-1954; television, 1954-1960) and the title practitioner on television's
Marcus Welby, M.D. (1969-1976), Robert Young (1907-1998) also
appeared in over 100 films. In some screen roles, such as the
cold-blooded spy in Hitchcock's Secret Agent (1936) and the no-good
philanderer in They Won't Believe Me (1947), Young showed an acting range
far broader than his likeable and wholesome TV characters. Slightly worn at
corners. Lightly soiled. Typed notes at blank margins. Fine
condition.
