Roberto DeVicenzo, born in1923, represented his homeland in the World Cup 17 times, capturing individual titles twice and a team crown once. After joining the PGA Tour in 1947, the golfer won five PGA Tour victories, including the 1967 British Open. The following year, De Vicenzo signed an incorrect scorecard at the 1968 Masters, resulting in him coming in second at 278 instead of tying the tournament with the 277 he actually scored. Joining the Senior Tour in 1980, De Vicenzo won the U.S. Senior Open that year. De Vicenzo, who continues to play on the Champions Tour, was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1989.
