Sale Price $270.00
Red "Everlast" right-handed boxing glove, signed by him in black felt tip
Boxing Glove signed: "Roberto/Duran". Everlast-brand right-handed boxing glove, signed on top in black felt tip. One of only four boxers to hold four different world titles (lightweight, 1972-1979; welterweight, 1980; junior middleweight, 1983; middleweight, 1989-1990), Roberto Duran, born in Panama in 1951, began his career in 1967. Many remember him for quitting in the eighth round of his November 25, 1980 rematch with Sugar Ray Leonard (whom he had previously defeated), saying "no mas" ("no more"). This incident should not obscure Duran's greatness as a fighter. In 2002, The Ring magazine named him the fifth greatest boxer of the last 80 years. Duran finally retired in 2002, at age 50, with a 104-16 record and 69 KOs. Fine condition.
