The British television series Robin's Nest ran for six seasons from 1977 until 1981. The show stars a lead character, Robin Tripp (played by Richard O'Sullivan), from the popular British sitcom Man About the House (1973-1976). The show Robin's Nest revolves around the characters Tripp, his girlfriend (played by Tessa Wyatt) and her father (played by Tony Britton) who run a Bistro. David Kelly played the character Albert Riddle, a clumsy one armed cook working in the bistro. British stage and film actor TONY BRITTON was born on June 9, 1924 in Birmingham, England. He premiered on stage at the age of 18, but soon joined the British Army and served with the Royal Artillery for several years. He returned to England and continued to appear on stage. He also appeared in numerous films and television shows between 1950 and 2009. Some of his films include The Rough and the Smooth (1959) Operation Amsterdam (1959), Sunday Bloody Sunday (1971) and The Day of the Jackal (1973). In 1975 he won a Broadcasting Press Guild Award for Best Actor for his role as David Henderson in the short lived British television series The Other Man (1956). A veteran of Dublin and London stages, Irish actor DAVID KELLY(1929-2012) received a Screen Actors Guild nomination for Best Supporting Actor in Waking Ned Devine (1998). He was a regular on British television, including the shows like Oh Father! (1973), Fawlty Towers (1975), Robin's Nest (1977-1981) and Play for Today (1974-1981). Late in his career he played the character Grandpa Joe in the 2005 remake of the film Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He was awarded the Irish Film and Television Academy's Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005. British television actor RICHARD O'SULLIVAN was born on May 7, 1944 in London, England. He starred as Robin Tripp in the popular British television series Man About the House (1973-1976), and later in Robin's Nest (1977-1981). Some of his other television credits include a British television series presentation of Great Expectations (1967), Doctor at Large (1971), Now Look Here (1971), Doctor in Charge (1972-1973), Dick Turpin (1979-1982) and Me and My Girl (1984-1988). He married his Robin's Nest co-star Tessa Wyatt and the couple had one son. English actress TESSA WYATT was born on April 23, 1948. In 1972 she married popular British radio DJ Tony Blackburn and gained some public notoriety through the relationship. She landed the role of, Vick Nicholls, Robin Tripp's girlfriend in the television series Robin's Nest in 1977. Some of her other acting credits include The Beast in the Cellar (1970), Doctor at Large (1971), Rooms (1974) and Doctors (2006-2008). Fine condition.
