Photograph signed "Rod McKuen". Post-It Note affixed to verso with black ink notations in unknown hand. Color, 8¼x11¼. American poet, singer, songwriter and actor McKuen (1933-2015) was nominated for two Academy Awards for Best Song Jean from 1969's The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie) and Best Score (for 1969's A Boy Named Charlie Brown). He also won a Grammy for Best Spoken Word or Non-Musical Album (Lonesome Cities, 1968). Some critics deride McKuen's poems as overly sentimental, but no less a poet than W. H. Auden praised them as "love letters to the world." Lightly toned, scuffed, creased and bowed. Ink stain in bottom right corner. Lightly creased and worn corners. Light scratches on image (not visible head-on). Otherwise, fine condition.
