ROD STEWART
A photocopied agreement between Stewart and John Reid Enterprises Limited for him to perform a rendition of Elton John's "Your Song" on Two Rooms (1991), a collection of covers celebrating the songs of Elton John and Bernie Taupin.
Contract signed "Rod Stewart", 17 pages, 8½x11, signed on the final page. No place, 1991 September 16. Photocopied contract signed in black ballpoint by Stewart. Agreement between Stewart and John Reid Enterprises Limited for Stewart's rendition of Elton John's "Your Song" to be included on the upcoming album, A Tribute to Elton John and Bernie Taupin. Two Rooms (1991) celebrated the songs of Elton John and Bernie Taupin, Stewart's rendition of "Your Song" was track number 11 on the compact disc. Stewart, born Roderick David Stewart in London, Great Britain in 1945, was once rock & roll's best interpretive singer, as well as an accomplished songwriter, creating a raw combination of folk, rock, blues and country that sounded like no other folk-rock or country-rock. In 1971 his third solo album, Every Picture Tells a Story, made Stewart a household name, reaching number one in both the U.S. and Britain. Supported by the number one single Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?, Blondes Have More Fun (1978) became Stewart's first number one album since Every Picture Tells a Story, selling over four million copies. By this time, he was notorious for his jet-set lifestyle, particularly the series of actresses and models he dated. Staple holes at top left of all pages. Otherwise, fine condition.
