Check signed "Rod Taylor" in blue ink. 5¾x2¾. June 16, 1966. Check no 910 for $35, payable to Rudy's Wine and Spirits and drawn on the account of Rod Taylor c/o Perry-Neidorf at the Pico Sycamore Branch of Bank of America in Los Angeles, California. Taylor starred in two films in 1966: The Liquidator and The Glass Bottom Boat. Rod Taylor (1930-2015) made his film debut in the Australian film The Stuart Exposition (1951) and his Hollywood debut in The Virgin Queen (1955). His long list of feature films includes Giant (1956), Separate Tables (1958), The Time Machine (1960), and The Birds and A Gathering of Eagles (both 1963). Taylor also appeared in a number of television movies and several series, including Hong Kong (1961), The Oregon Trail (1975), and Outlaws (1986). He starred in the Australian comedy Welcome to Woop Woop (1997), and, in his final screen role, played Winston Churchill in Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds (2009). Lightly toned and creased. Adhesive residue on verso; show-through touches signature. Normal bank stamps; show-through from verso touches signature and handwriting. Normal cancellation holes, which touch signature and handwriting. Light nicks at right edge. Folded thrice and unfolded. Otherwise, fine condition.
