Autograph Letter signed: "Roger Lloyd Pack" in blue ink, 1p, 8¼x11¾. No place, 1984 September 21. In full: "Earlier this year I played the part of 'Victor' in the original production of Harold" new about play 'One for the Road', which the author directed himself at the Lyric Theatre, Hammersmith, in London. Victor is a man who has suggested a terrible beating at the hands of an unspecified regime and during the course of the action is subjected to further verbal abuse and mental torture at the hands of a representative of that regime…for the 'crime' of holding his own opinions on the way the country is run. It is a play about the brutality of totalitarian governments and the cruel and sadistic impulses of the people that support them. The play appeared as a double bill with 'Victoria Station', also m… and had Jenny Qualye, Alan Bates, as well as myself in the cast. It is shortly to be filmed for television by the B.B.C". Roger Lloyd-Pack (b. 1944) has been featured both on stage and in dozens of British TV series for over three decades. He has had roles on Only Fools and Horses (1981-2003), The Vicar of Dibley (1994-2013), and The Old Guys (2009-2010). Lloyd-Peck also played Ministry of Magic employee Barty Crouch in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005). Fine condition.
