Signature: "Roger Pryor.", 6x4½. Roger Pryor (1901-1974) played roguish leading man parts in B- movies, earning the sobriquet "the poor man's Clark Gable." He biggest role was as Mae West's paramour in Belle of the Nineties (1936). He also starred in the Broadway hit Blessed Event (1932), one of his 13 appearances on the Great White Way. Pryor was married to actress Ann Sothern (1936-1943). His ability to sing, play trombone and lead a band (like his father, Arthur Pryor) made him a successful radio host in the 1940s. He had a successful second career as an ad executive. Binding holes in right edge. Toned. Fine condition.
