ROMANCING THE STONE MOVIE CAST: KATHLEEN TURNER and MICHAEL DOUGLAS
The actress and actor are shown side by side in this color still from the 1984 movie Romancing the Stone, signed in silver and blue ink

Photograph Signed: “Best Wishes/Kathleen Turner” in silver ink and “Thank you!/Michael/Douglas” in blue ink. 8x10. KATHLEEN TURNER (b. 1954) burst onto the movie scene in a star-making blaze when she was cast as femme fatale Matty in the neo-noir thriller Body Heat (1981). Some of her other well known films include The Man with Two Brains (1983), Crimes of Passion (1984), South American adventures starting with Romancing the Stone (1984), Prizzi's Honor (1985), Peggy Sue Got Married (Academy Award nomination, 1986), War of the Roses (1989) and The Virgin Suicides (1999). In 1988, Turner gave a sexy performance as the voice of Jessica Rabbit in Who Framed Roger Rabbit? Major star, prominent producer and member of one of Hollywood's most prominent families, MICHAEL DOUGLAS(b.1944) is one of Hollywood's biggest movers and shakers. In 1975, Douglas became one of the hottest producers in Tinseltown when he produced Milos Forman's tour de force adaptation of Ken Kesey's One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. The result: a box-office smash that earned five Oscars, including Best Picture. In 1984, Douglas appeared in Romancing the Stone, an offbeat romantic adventure in the vein of Indiana Jones. It was a major box-office hit and revitalized Douglas' acting career, which had started to flag. Some of his later films include The Jewel of the Nile, Fatal Attraction, Wall Street (for which he earned his first Oscar as an actor), War of the Roses, Basic Instinct, The American President, A Perfect Murder and Don't Say a Word. The son of actors Kirk and Diana Douglas, Michael has been married to his second wife, actress Catherine Zeta-Jones, since 2000. Corners slightly rounded. Otherwise, fine condition.
