ROMINA POWER and ALBANO CARRISI The pop singer writes brief biography of her life, and she and her then-husband sign in green ink Autograph Manuscript signed: "Romina Power" and "Al Bano" in green ink, 1p, 8¼x11¾. Written on personal letterhead. November 1984. In full: "I am Romina Power, born in Los Angeles, California on the 2nd of October, 1951 - My father was Tyrone Power, my mother Linda Christian. I studied in boarding schools in Mexico, Italy and England. My acting career began in Italy, in 1965, when I was 14 years old. Since then I've made 14 movies - In 1970 I married the famous Italian pop singer, Al Bano, with whom I made 7 musical films, 10 record albums and 2 children; Ylenia, a girl, born in 1970, Yori, a boy, in 1973. Al Bano and I have built a small town in the south of Italy near Brindisi, which we consider our "base", where we unwind between one tour and another, producing an excellent wine, the "Don Carmelo", a special reserve to eventually forget the various problems that this "modern" age creates. This is all, till now, but tomorrow who knows? We may have to add another page - with better news - CIAO!". American actress and singer ROMINA POWER (b. 1951) began her career appearing in small Italian language films as a teenager in the 1960s; it was during this time that she met Albano Carrisi. After the couple married, they started a singing duo in 1975. The pair became well known throughout Europe and Latin America. The couple's daughter Ylenia Maria Sole went missing in New Orleans in 1994, and has never been heard from since, while their other children went on to perform on Italian reality television. Power divorced Carrisi in 1999 and changed career paths, becoming a painter. She has since had exhibitions in 2006 and 2007 in Milan. ALBANO "AL BANO" CARRISI (b. 1943) is an Italian singer and celebrity best known for the years he spent singing with his wife Romina Power. Carrisi also enjoyed a moderately successful solo career and has recorded songs such as "Una furtive lagrima" "Va, pensiero" and "Ave Maria". Interestingly, Carrisi appeared on L'isola dei Famosi in 2005, the Italian equivalent of Survivor. Normal mailing folds. Slightly toned. Light surface creases. Corners worn.
