Typed Letter signed: "Ciao!/ Romina/ Power/ & Al Bano" in green ink, 1p, 8¼x11½. Brindisi,
Italy, 1984 November 20. Written on personal letterhead. Original mailing envelope
included. In full: "Dear Mr. Axelrod, I am very sorry to be answering your request with so much
of a delay. My husband and I have been very busy, first on tour in Spain, and then promoting our
latest single around Europe. (The hard life of artists!) Enclosed are the three autographed photos
you asked for, plus a hand-written brief biography. Hoping the material satisfies your needs, an
hoping you museum continues to be successful, we both send your our best "saluti" and regards,
and will stop by for a visit whenever in you City. Good luck to you and to Las Vegas!". Actress and
singer ROMINA POWER (b. 1951) started out appearing in small Italian language films as a
teenager in the 1960s; it was during this time that she met Albano Carrisi. After the couple
married, they started a singing duo in 1975. The pair became well known throughout
Europe and Latin America. The couple's daughter Ylenia Maria Sole went missing in New
Orleans in 1994, and has never been heard from since, while their other children went on to
perform on Italian reality television. Power divorced Carrisi in 1999 and changed career paths,
becoming a painter. She has since had exhibitions in 2006 and 2007 in Milan. ALBANO "AL
BANO" CARRISI (b. 1943) is an Italian singer and celebrity best known for the years he
spent singing with his wife Romina Power. Carrisi also enjoyed a moderate successful solo
career and has recorded songs such as "Una furtive lagrima", "Va, pensiero", and "Ave
Maria". Interestingly, Carrisi appeared on L'isola dei Famosi in 2005, the Italian equivalent
