Trading/sports card signed: "Ron Gardenhire", in black felt tip, 2½x3½. Ron Gardenhire (b. 1957) only appeared in five seasons as a major league player, playing for the New York Mets from 1981 to 1985 as a shortstop, second baseman, and third baseman. With a batting average of .232 and 49 RBI, Gardenhire is more remembered for his managerial career opposed to his playing. Shortly after retiring, Gardenhire began working as a manager and third base coach in the Minnesota Twins farm system, being named General Manager of the Twins in 2002. He has a 1,015-966 win-loss record as manager, and was voted the American League manager of the year in 2010. Signature slightly scuffed, but legible. Fine condition.
