Hoover (b.1966) had a brief professional career, playing just 18 games over
3 seasons in the NHL. Drafted in the 8th round by Hartford in the 1986 NHL
Entry Draft, Hoover never actually played for the Whalers, and instead was
selected to the Boston Bruins, and, later, was traded to the St. Louis
Blues. While his NHL career was short lived, Hoover had an extensive career
in the IHL, retiring in 1999. He posts a record of 231 points in 405 games.
