First Day Cover signed: "Ron Masak", 6½x3½. FDC honoring streetcars, 20-cent stamp affixed, postmarked Kennebunkport, Maine, October 8, 1983, FIRST DAY OF ISSUE. Ron Masak (b.1936) made dozens of TV guest appearances, including a recurring role as Sheriff Mort Metzger on Murder, She Wrote (1985-1996). He played supporting roles in several films, including Ice Station Zebra (1968) and Tora! Tora! Tora! (1970). Masak also earned the nickname of "king of commercials", including a 15-year stint as the voice of the Vlasic Pickle stork, and he made highly successful sales motivational videos with Vince Lombardi and later Tommy Lasorda. He emceed the Jerry Lewis Telethon for eight years, earning the Muscular Dystrophy Association's Humanitarian Award. Fine condition.
