The English born composer signs an autograph musical quotation, dated in 1935
Autograph Musical Quotation signed: "Ronnie Munro", 4¼x3 card, captioned at the bottom (in unknown hand) "Ronnie Munro Song Writer and Arranger for Ambrose, Etc Etc". Ronnie Munro (1897-1989) was an English-born songwriter, arranger and composer. Gaining fame in 1920's by joining The Emlyn Thomas London Band (along with other groups), Munro became the Director of Dance Music at Parlophone, a position he held for 13 years. Later, he became the Musical Director for HMV's house orchestra, and in 1940, Munro had the biggest break of his career when he was named the conductor of the Scottish Variety Orchestra. As its conductor, Munro made several radio broadcasts each week, and his most popular show, Sunday Serenade, ran for many years. Lightly creased and toned. Edges lightly worn. Otherwise, fine condition.
