ROSEMARY DeCAMP
DeCamp writes of hoping that 1980 is going to be a good year?
Autograph Sentiment Signed: "'80 has got/to be good/or at least better/hm?/Yours/Rosemary DeCamp", 5x3 card. Semi-retired at the time she signed this card, DeCamp appeared on 13 episodes of Memoirs of a Fairy Godmother in 1980. The following year, she made a cameo appearance in the horror spoof, Saturday the 14th, and guest starred on TV's Buck Rogers in the 25th Century (as Rogers' mother) and B.J. and the Bear, the first of several guest shots in the 1980s (appearances on Simon & Simon, Fantasy Island, Quincy, Hotel, St. Elsewhere and Murder, She Wrote followed). Actress Rosemary DeCamp (1914-2001) debuted in radio dramas of the 1930s, moving into film roles in the 1940s and 1950s. Despite her youthful appearance, she was often cast as a mother, including the mother of George M. Cohan in Yankee Doodle Dandy (1942) and George Gershwin in Rhapsody in Blue (1945). DeCamp was featured in several TV sitcoms, including The Life of Riley (1949), Love That Bob (1955-1959) and That Girl (1966-1970). Lightly soiled. Stain at upper left margin touches 1 letter of writing. Fine condition.
