Wishes/Rosemary/Lane". B/w, 8x10. Rosemary Lane, born Rosemary Mullican
(1914-1974) sang and acted with her sisters Priscilla and Lola as The Lane
Sisters in the 1930s and forties. Rosemary and Priscilla were featured on
band leader Fred Waring's radio show for five years, with Rosemary singing
the ballads and Priscilla specializing in swing numbers and wisecracks.
Signing a Warner Bros. contract, they were joined by sister Lola and by Gale
Page (a fourth real sister having failed her screen tests) to make a series of
films: Four Sisters, Four Wives and Four Mothers, from 1938
to 1940. Rosemary appeared in 20 films between 1937 and 1945. Her husband
was studio makeup wizard Bud Westmore. Worn and creased at edges and corners.
Pencil note (unknown hand) on verso. Otherwise, fine
condition.
