ROSEMARY THEBY
Rare signature on a 4¼x6½ sepia photograph
Photograph signed: "Every good wish/Rosemary Theby". Sepia, 4¼x6½. Rosemary Theby (1892-1973) starred in films of the silent and era talking eras. She was comfortable in both slapstick comedies and femme fatale roles. Exclusively a film actress, she later expressed regret that she never accepted stage roles. Among her starring roles were a German spy in The Great Love (1918), Morgan LeFey in A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court (1921), and W. C. Fields wife, "Mrs. Snavely," in The Fatal Glass of Beer (1933). Lightly silvered and worn at corners. Mounting remnants on verso (no show-through). Otherwise, fine condition.
