I am very pleased with the results, which I feel are largely due to your capable organization.I certainly shall never lecture under any other auspices in America. Thank you too for the generous way you helped me by introducing me to publishers & other newspaper people Altogether, from my point of view, our contract has been most satisfactory, & I shall be delighted for you to use my name as a reference in England - I find yours an excellent one in America!! - Wishing you the best of luck in your enterprises, present & future, & with real appreciation of your achievements on my behalf. Includes detailed notes on her travels, with 6 blue-hued b/w photos, including close-up of Forbes (3x4) on front cover. 1-inch paper separation at center fold, ½-inch separation at right edge of back cover. Otherwise, fine condition. Rosita Forbes (1890-1967), a decorated ambulance driver in World War I, traveled tirelessly to remote and often dangerous places in Africa and Asia in the 1920s and thirties, describing her experiences in vivid travel books. These include Unconducted Wanderers (1919), The Secrets of the Sahara (1924) and Gypsy in the Sun (1944). The adventure described in this letter resulted in a travel film, From Red Sea to Blue Nile. She wrote two novels which were made into silent films. Two items.
