DAN ROWAN (1922-1987) and his partner DICK MARTIN (1922-2008) are best known as the zany hosts/performers on Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In (1968-1973), the wildly popular show that featured such performers as Ruth Buzzi, Goldie Hawn, Arte Johnson, Lily Tomlin and JoAnne Worley. The two had previously hosted The Dean Martin Summer Show (1966-1967) and appeared together in two films, Once Upon a Horse (1958) and The Maltese Bippy (1969). Rowan had been a Hollywood scriptwriter before he met Martin, a TV and film actor.
