RUDY SOLARI
Actor Rudy Solari signed this contract in 1964 to appear in an
episode of General Hospital. Solari was the medicine man Salish in the
1968 Star Trek episode The Paradise Syndrome.
Contract signed "Rudy Solari" as Performer in blue ink.
2 pages, 8¼x13¾, 1 sheet, front and verso, binder holes at top and left edges.
Aug. 24, 1964. Solari signed this contract with Selmur Production, Inc.
to appear as Mr. Telez in the Aug. 25, 1964, episode of General Hospital.
He was to be paid $310 plus 10 percent. American actor Solari (1934-1991)
appeared in almost 50 movies and TV shows between 1957 and 1983. He starred in
The Boss' Son (1979) and had a recurring role as Casino on Garrison's
Gorillas (1967-1968), plus repeat appearances on Hennesey
(1959-1961), Mission: Impossible (1968-1972), Police Story
(1975-1976) and Quincy M. E. (1977-1983). Solari was also a popular
acting coach and founded a Broadway acting troupe with his wife Niki; they
produced one play on Broadway, 1979's The Goodbye People. He was later
director of the graduate acting program at UCLA. Trekkies may remember him as
Salish, a Native American medicine man on the planet Amerind (hey, it's Star
Trek, go figure) in the 1968 episode The Paradise Syndrome.
