Shortly after, he began studying under Edward Steurmann, another prominent pianist. More recently, he was an artist-in-residence at the New England Conservatory. PASCAL VERROT (b. 1959) is an orchestra conductor of French descent. Verrot played as an oboist in orchestras, and is also well regarded for his conducting skills, winning prizes during his university years as well as in various conducting competitions. He has conducted for many orchestras, most notably The Boston Symphony and The Pacific Symphony. JOHNNY BACH (1924-2016) was a former basketball player who later became a basketball coach, Bach played in 24 games for the Boston Celtics during the 1948-1949 season. In 1950, he began coaching at Fordham University, becoming, at the time, one of the nation's youngest coaches. He held his coaching position at Fordham for 18 years, eventually transferring over to Penn State for another successful stint. Bach would go on to be an assistant coach for the Chicago Bulls for several years, transferring to a couple more teams, and then finally retiring in 2006. Binding holes along left margin.
