Signature of Apollo 9 astronaut Russell Schweickart, matted in an Apollo 9-themed display to 9¼x11 on a green, white, red and black matte. Comes with a mission decal and description and a small color headshot of Schweickart.
Signature: "Rusty Schweickart" in blue ink. Signature on two cards (6¾x8 total size), matted to 9¼x11 on a green, white, red and black matte. Two affixed typed captions: "March 3 - 13, 1969" and "First Spaceflight Test of the Lunar Module with Command Module while in Earth Orbit". This matte includes a number of decals and other items related to NASA's Apollo 9 mission, including: a 2½-inch diameter mission label; a 1¾x2 captioned headshot of Schweickart; a 2¾x2¾ mission description; a 4x3¼ American flag label; and a 2¾x1½ American eagle. It also includes a 1-inch diameter American Bicentennial label. Apollo 9 (March 3-13, 1969) was the first crewed flight to include the Lunar Module. The crew was Lunar Module Pilot RUSSELL "RUSTY" SCHWEICKART, born Russell Louis Schweickart in 1935, Commander James McDivitt and Command Module Pilot David Scott. The primary objective of the mission was to test the Lunar Module in Earth orbit, including separation, rendezvous and docking with the Command Module. Matte is not in Gallery of History style. "As is" purchase. Lightly toned and soiled. Matte has rounded corners and adhesive residue near bottom edge and is dented at bottom edge. Otherwise in fine condition.
