7¾x10. Actress Ruth Roman (1922-1999), born Norma Roman, began her film career
in 1943 in an uncredited role in Stage Door Canteen. She would go on to
appear in several feature films until 1983 (Echoes). Roman's
credits include Gilda (1946), The Big Clock (1948), Colt
.45 (1950) and Maru Maru (1952). She is best known to TV audiences
for her roles as Minnie Littlejohn on The Long, Hot Summer
(1965-1966) and Sylvia Lean on Knots Landing (1986-1987), and
Roman also appeared in numerous made-for-TV movies and guest starred on a
long list of TV series. In 1956, Roman and her son, Richard "Dickie" Hall, were
aboard the Andrea Doria when the ship sank after colliding with the
Stockholm. Separated during the rescue, mother and son were reunited
in New York amidst a sea of photographers and reporters. Slightly creased at
blank margins and corners. Minor surface creases and striations (most not
evident head on), light crease at the "a" of Roman. Name written (unknown hand)
in ink on verso (no show through). Overall, fine condition.
