Photograph inscribed and signed: "To Allan/It's been fun/Ruth
Terry/6/18/76". B/w, 8x10. Ruth Terry (born in 1920), previously a
vaudeville performer and radio vocalist, became a leading lady at Republic
Pictures, starring in such films as The Affairs of Jimmy Valentine
(1942), My Buddy (1944) and Steppin' in Society and The
Cheaters (both 1945). Terry made quite a few Westerns, starring opposite
heroes like Roy Rogers and Gene Autry. She retired in the mid-40s, but returned
to the screen in 1962 in Hand of Death. Toned. Corners chipped and worn.
