RUTH WARRICK (1915-2005) played Kane's first wife in Citizen Kane (1941). Other starring roles included China Sky (1944) and Three Husbands (1950). She has starred in TV soap operas for over half a century, including since 1970 the role of Phoebe English Tyler Wallingford on All My Children. So well known as this character, she released a music album, Phoebe Tyler Regrets, and called her autobiography Confessions of Phoebe Tyler. Actor, singer, and radio personality DICK WHITTINGHILL (1913-2001) first began his entertainment career with the vocal group The Pied Pipers, being one of the original eight members before the group was reduced in size. He soon after found his niche in radio, working as a disc jockey for three decades at radio station KMPC in Los Angeles, in addition to several other Los Angeles radio programs he worked on. It was during the height of his radio career that Whittinghill made most of his television and film appearances in minor or guest roles, including a role as a television interviewer in Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter? (1957). In 2008,Whittinghill was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame. George R. Sanders, originally a disc jockey, became a prominent radio/TV interview host, first in Los Angeles and later in Portland. Toned, especially heavy in some areas.
