RYAN O'NEAL and FARRAH FAWCETTColor publicity photograph of Ryan O'Neal and Farrah Fawcett hugging. Photograph signed: "Ryan O'Neal" and "Farrah Faucett". Color, 8x10. The two had a long-term, live-in relationship starting in the early 1980s and starred together in several TV programs. RYAN O'NEAL's (b.1941) first major role was that of Rodney Harrington on the television soap opera Peyton Place (1964-1969). He got his big break when he was chosen from 300 auditioners to play Oliver Barrett opposite Ally McGraw in the adaptation of Erich Seagal's best-seller Love Story (1970). The film was a smash hit and landed O'Neal an Oscar nomination. Some of his other work includes What's Up Doc (1972), Paper Moon (1973, the film netted his co-star and real-life daughter, Tatum O'Neal, an Oscar), Barry Lyndon (1975), Oliver's Story (1978) and The Main Event (1979). Former model FARRAH FAWCETT, (1947-2009), reached stardom in the TV series Charlie's Angels (1976-1977). She made films after the show ended, including her critically acclaimed performance as a battered wife in the TV movie The Burning Bed (1984) and as a vengeful rape victim in both the play and 1986 film Extremeties.
