Inscribed Signature: "To/ Joe/ Sab Shimono/ The Wash/ 1990". 5x3. His note after his signature refers to the 1988 film The Wash, in which he played a character named Sadao. Sab Shimono (b. 1943) is an American actor. Growing up, Shimono and his family were interned at both the Tule Lake War Relocation Center and the Granada War Relocation Center. Shimono began his acting career on the stage and appeared on Broadway in shows such as Mame (1966-1970), Lovely Ladies, Kind Gentlemen (1970), and Ride the Winds (1974). He moved on to feature films and had prominent roles in Presumed Innocent (1990), Suture (1993), and Old Dogs (2009). In addition, Shimono has appeared in several Asian American independent films including The Sensei (2008) and Americanese (2006). In recent years, he has lent his voice to an impressive number of animated series. Lightly toned. Otherwise, fine condition.
