Document signed: "Sal Mineo", 1p, 8 ½ x11. No location, 1968 June 11. To Mr. Roger Beaumont, Rome, Italy. In full: "Dear Roger: This will confirm that I gave you full authority to enter into any and all agreements relating to my services as an actor in GOMARRA for Cine Gay S.p.A. Best regards,". In 1959, Sal Mineo made two feature films: A Private's Affair and The Gene Krupa Story, in which he starred in the title role. In November 1959, he appeared as himself on an episode of The Ann Sothern Show. At the age of ten, stage and screen actor Sal Mineo (1939-1976) was cast as a child in The Rose Tattoo on Broadway. At age 13, he took over the part of Yul Brynner's son in The King and I. By the time he was 22, Mineo had been nominated twice for Best Supporting Actor Academy Awards: Rebel Without a Cause (1955) and Exodus (1960). In 1976, the 37-year-old actor was stabbed to death as he returned to his Hollywood home from a play rehearsal. Filing holes at top. Paper clip creases and soiling at upper left. Corners creased. Otherwise, fine condition.
