relationship to Las Vegas
Autograph letter signed: "Sam Bobrick", in black ink, 7½x10½ sheet. October 24, 1984. On
personal letterhead to "Dear Todd", in full: "Enclosed is a play (not included) that I wrote with
Ron Clark. While it was not a 'hit' on Broadway, it is being produced all over the country. It is
one of my favorite plays and the fact that it all takes place near Las Vegas makes it all the more

Bobrick (1932-2019) is an American author, playwright, television writer, and lyricist. He
began his career writing for the popular children's show Captain Kangaroo. He also wrote for
such shows as The Andy Griffith Show, Bewitched, The Flintstones, Get Smart, The Kraft
Music Hall, and The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour. Bobrick has written more than 30
plays to date. His first play, "Norman, Is That You?," which he co-wrote with Ron Clark,
opened on Broadway in the early 1970s. The play ran for five years in Paris (Pauvre France)
and has played in over thirty countries around the world. Bobrick and Clark collaborated on
three more Broadway plays, "No Hard Feelings", "Murder at the Howard Johnson's", and "Wally's
Café". Bobrick is a member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, as well as
the Dramatists Guild and Writers Guild of America. He has directed many of his plays in
regional theatres in the U.S. and Canada. Toned. Pinhead sized stain above P.S. Fine
