Photograph signed: "Sam Snead", "Gene Sarazen/1992" and
"Byron Nelson/1992". B/w, 10x8. "Slammin' SAMMY SNEAD" (1912-2002)
won both the Masters and the PGA three times and the British Open
once. In 1965, Snead became the oldest player (52 years and 10 months) to win a
PGA tournament (the Greater Greensboro Open). GENE SARAZEN (1902-1999)
won seven major titles, including the U.S. Open in 1932. He was a
member of the American Ryder Cup team on six occasions. BYRON
NELSON (1912-2006), two-time winner of both the Masters (1937, 1942)
and the PGA Championship (1940, 1945), also won the U.S. Open in
1939. He won 19 tournaments in 1945, including a record 11 in a row.
Defects from original negative have reproduced at upper background. Minor
surface creases (not evident head on) at upper background. Light stains at lower
margin at the lower portion of Sarazen's sweater. Fine
condition.
