His book of "wisdom, insight, and instruction," also signed by his co-author
Fran Pirozzolo
Book signed: "Sam Snead", "Fran Pirozzolo", 5½x8, 223 pages. The
Game I Love, by Sam Snead, with Fran Pirozzolo. New York: Ballantine Books,
1997. Hardcover with dust jacket. Slammin' SAMMY SNEAD (1912-2002,
born in Ashwood, Virginia) won both the Masters and the PGA three times
and the British Open once. In 1965, Snead became the oldest player (at
52 years and ten months) to win a PGA tournament (the Greater Greensboro
Open). Snead, who didn't let age slow him down much, was the PGA Senior
champion six times and World Seniors champion five times; in his seventies,
he broke his age on the course so many times that it came to be expected of him.
He was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1974. Dr. FRAN
PIROZZOLO runs a sports consulting firm, Competitive Advantage,
specializing in performance enhancement. Its clients have included the New York
Yankees (1996-2001) and NASA (for astronaut teams). His individual clients
have included Evander Holyfield, Roger Clemens, as well as Snead. He has written
or co-authored 14 books, and produced a golf channel documentary on Snead. Dust
jacket lightly worn with unknown stains. Fine condition.
