SAME TIME, NEXT YEAR PLAY CAST
Playbill for a production of Same Time, Next Year signed by stars Betsy Palmer and Monte Markham. Also signed by the award winning playwright and screenwriter who created The Partridge Family, Bernard Slade. Extremely rare!
Show bill signed: "Betsy Palmer", "Monte Markham", "Bernard Slade", in blue felt tip, 5½x9. 52 pages. Playbill for a production of Same Time, Next Year at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre in New York City, New York. While BETSY PALMER (Born in 1926) has starred in occasional movies over the years, films as diverse as Mister Roberts (1955) and Friday the 13th (1980, as Jason's mother), her forte has been television. She has been panelist on several quiz shows, including I've Got a Secret (1957-1967), a guest star on many dramatic programs, and a regular on Knott's Landing (1989-1990).Actor/singer MONTE MARKHAM (b. 1935) has appeared on Broadway (including Irene, 1973, for which he won the World Theatre Award), on the big screen (in such feature films as Midway, 1976, and Airport '77, 1977) and starred on several TV series, beginning with The Second Hundred Years (1967-1968). His other series include Mr. Deeds Goes to Town (1969-1970), The New Perry Mason (1973-1974), Dallas (1981), Baywatch (1989-1992), Air Combat (1993, host) and Melrose Place (1994), and Markham has guest starred on a long list of TV series since 1966 in addition to making several made-for-TV movies. Playwright and screenwriter Bernard Slade (b. 1930) is perhaps best remembered for his work on television, being the creator of classic series The Flying Nun and The Partridge Family. A writer on television for 40 plus years, Slade only became critically recognized after writing his Broadway play Same Time, Next Year, which was nominated for a Tony, received a Drama Desk Award, and was later turned into an Oscar nominated film of the same name. Pages and cover lightly toned. Corners and edges lightly worn. Small nick on bottom edge of cover. Faint pencil markings on cast page. Otherwise, fine condition.
