Check signed "Sammy Cahn". 7¼x3½. Dec. 12, 1972. Drawn on the account of Sammy & Tita Cahn at City National Bank of Beverly Hills, payable to R. F. Brodegaard & Co. of Garden City, California for $51.75. Stamped endorsement on verso. Cahn was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1972. He also released a live album, An Evening with Sammy Cahn, with Cahn signing at the 92nd Street YM & YWHA in New York City. Lyricist Cahn (1913-1993) won Academy Awards for Best Song for Three Coins in the Fountain (1954), All the Way (1957), High Hopes (1959) and Call Me Irresponsible (1963). His Emmy came with Love and Marriage (1955). Among Cahn's many other songs are Let It Snow and "Come Fly With Me. Often collaborating with Jule Styne, he was a principal songwriter for Frank Sinatra. He is enshrined in the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Lightly toned. Normal bank stamps, which touch signature. Otherwise in fine condition.
