Printed Photograph Mount signed: "James Van Heusen" and "Sammy Cahn". Clipped b/w newspaper photograph pasted to sheet, 4½x8½ overall, image 4½x6¾ (two surfaces). JAMES VAN HEUSEN composed the music and SAMMY CAHN wrote the lyrics for three Academy Award-winning songs: "High Hopes" (1959), "All the Way" (1957) and "Call Me Irresponsible" (1963). Composer James Van Heusen (1913-1990) was nominated for 14 Academy Awards, winning four: "Swingin on a Star" (1945), "All the Way" (1958), "High Hopes" (1960) and "Call Me Irresponsible" (1964). He also wrote"Moonlight Becomes You," "My Kind of Town," and "Love and Marriage." Lyricist Sammy Cahn (1913-1993) won Academy Awards for Best Song for "Three Coins in the Fountain" (1954), "All the Way" (1957), "High Hopes" (1959) and "Call Me Irresponsible" (1963). His Emmy came with "Love and Marriage" (1955). Among Cahn's many other songs are "Let It Snow" and "Come Fly With Me." Often collaborating with Jule Styne, he was a principal songwriter for Frank Sinatra. He is enshrined in the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
