Autograph note signed "For George -/Lots of Good Wishes/to a Fine RadioMan from/an enthusiastic Newcomer!/Sam/Jackson/Jan 25, 1971". 1 page, 7¼x9½, rounded right corners, gold-colored edges. With a 3¼x1½ newsprint bio and b/w photo affixed. Jackson (1937-1995) made his career playing hicks, hayseeds and bumpkins of every stripe. He's probably best known for playing Airman Will Stockdale in the TV series No Time for Sergeants (1964-1965). He appeared in 30 movies and TV shows between 1957 and 1993, although he had to take up work as a country music DJ as the market for comedic clodhoppers dried up in the late 1960s. Lightly toned, creased and bowed. Show-through from ink transfer on verso touches signature. Neatly torn from binding at left edge. Otherwise in fine condition.
