Signature: "S Goldwyn", 6x2½. Ink caption (unknown hand) in upper
right: "7-12-42". Goldwyn organized Goldwyn Pictures (1917) and merged with
Louis B. Mayer's Metro Pictures to form Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer in 1925. He is
one of the few winners of both the Irving G. Thalberg Memorial and Jean Hersholt
Humanitarian Awards. Goldwyn is said to have uttered the following
Goldwynisms: "Include me out", "Anyone who goes to a psychiatrist should have
his head examined" and "A verbal contract isn't worth the paper it's written
on". Pinhead sized spot at lower center. Binder holes at left edge. Part of a
signature on verso (illegible) shows through faintly at lower edge. Otherwise,
fine condition.
